OOC- Uh, I wasn't trying to get inside your head, especially since I don't know any magic... *shrug* I'll find some way to make it fit, I suppose. Lol. Also, I am not too sure on the timing of my becoming leader, but I think it is safe to say that I had at least seen one or two Kreeshone... I think...
IC- Aranel was still lost in her thoughts when she passed an inn. She would have kept walking, but the appearance of a still unfamiliar being made her snap back into reality and come to a stop. She saw that the Kreeshone had her wings spread slightly, as though part of an intimidation effort, and since Aranel was the only other person on the street at that time, she guess that she was the target of that intimidation. She smiled slightly at the thought.
She hesitated a moment before politely saying, "Hello. I have met a few of your kind, but I do not believe that we personally have met."
Aranel stepped a bit closer to the entrance to the inn, but was not sure if she should introduce herself or not. Deciding she may as well, she bowed her head slightly and stated, "Aranel Elensar, at your service." It was no mistake that she left of the title of Varden leader. People tended to act differently toward her after they knew that.

OOC- Shoot. Sorry, I read your last post wrong... can't really go back now, I guess lol. Sorry about that. We'll just say that... hmm... that your conciousness accidentally brushed with mine or something. *Shrug* Sorry haha.
IC- Amarth stopped and lowered her wings a little. Turning to the Riders, she whispered in their minds, I must have been mistaken. I am so weary that my conciousness must have brushed with this young woman's and then made me think SHE did it to ME.
Lowering her demonic looking wings, Amarth sighed softly. "Hello, Aranel. I am sorry if I frightened you. I am Amarth. I am a dancer in the courts of Cenaka," she said, also bowing her head. She was still wary of this young woman, but she seemed so relaxed that it helped Aranel to relax as well.

Aranel saw the Kreeshone relax a bit as she stated her name and occupation. Suddenly the thought hit her.
"Ah, yes I believe I saw you dancing earlier today... It is a pleasure to meet you Amarth," Aranel replied with a smile.
Isn't it curious the people you meet walking down a dark street? she thought, her smile growing slightly at the irony of that thought.

Amarth couldn't help but smile with pride.
"I am always happy to entertain the people, young one," she said, unable to hide her grin. Then, her violet eyes went dark and she hesitated. "Are you with the Varden or the Empire?" She asked warily, ready to kill if Aranel was with the Empire; Amarth wasn't truly part of either, but she hated the Empire for their senseless killing.
Hand ready to grab her dagger, Amarth awaited an answer, knowing she had two Riders to back her up in case something happened.

Tijia sidestepped around Amarth to get a better look at the woman but when she stated her name she knew exactly who she was. "Aranel? What are you doing walking the streets of Cenaka? I mean I'd think they wouldn't let you out alone after what happened to Nausada." With a sad smile she reached up her arm in the air and Helio landed lightly on it. She stroked his headed and stepped into a patch of moonlight just outside the inn.

OOC- Where exactly is Cenaka?
OOC2- Amarth, in your last post, you used my name instead of your own. Tijia, in your last post, you called yourself Ari instead of Tijia... Just thought I'd point those out. ^_^
IC- Aranel was about to reply to Amarth's question when a familiar Rider stepped out from behind her. She smiled when she saw the familiar face.
"It is good to see you again, Tijia. My reason for being here really doesn't exist, just came here to get away from everything for a bit. As for the others letting me come here... Well, let's just say they didn't. I doubt they've even figured out that I am gone..." Aranel paused a moment, recalling Amarth's question. Turning to her, Aranel announced, "My apologies for not mentioning this earlier, but," she cleared her throat and continued, "Aranel Elensar, current Varden leader, at your service."
She knew she had already introduced her self, but it seemed more official than simply naming her position. She waited for a response from either of the two women with her.

OOC- Thanks for pointing that out, I fixed it.
OOC2- Cenaka is close to Aberon. People go between the two easily, so they're rather close.
IC-
Amarth gasped and took her hand off her dagger, ashamed. "I am sorry for the way I acted. I did not know who you were. It is nice to meet you, Aranel," Amarth said, bowing again.
I feel so foolish... Amarth thought. She had been embarrassed too many times in one night! First, she had to have help getting into the pub, then she almost attacked the leader of the Varden! If anything else happened, she would fly home right then without rest!
"Should we, again, go somewhere safer?" Amarth asked, not wanting to be totally useless.

OOC- You're welcome, and Thanks! Couldn't find it anywhere... Lol.
IC- With a sigh and a laugh, Aranel held up her hand and casually said, "Don't worry about it. I'm almost certain you would have figured it out before any real damage was done, after all this sword isn't just for show." Aranel knew that she would not stand a chance against a Kreeshone, but she could still fight.
"And please don't bow. Firstly, it is hardly necessary. Secondly, it probably wouldn't be too wise to make such a show here. Thirdly, I don't particularly deserve it. I was simply in the right place at the right time... or is it the wrong place at the wrong time... wrong place, right time..." she trailed off on that train of thought for a moment. "No matter, I suppose. What's done is done..."
She fell silent trying to think of where they could go. "I agree that we should go somewhere safer, but as far as where that place may be, I have no idea."

Amarth sighed and nodded. "I am sorry for drawing attention," her voice was a little strained and her words were formal. "If we go to the Inn, the Riders can shield our words from outsider's ears, and we would be able to rest. I have a room at the Inn, because I have been dancing in the court the last two days," Amarth said, pointing in the direction of the Inn.
Looking around, Amarth made sure no one was visible before making a quick sweep with her mind. She was drained, but the sandwich had given her just enough energy to keep her going a little longer.
If only Mother and Father could see me now, dancing for wingless beings and speaking with leaders! The Kreeshone thought to herself, a small grin in her eyes.

Aranel quietly sighed as she heard the formality in Amarth's voice. Precisely the reason I 'forgot' to mention my rank in the first place. Can't be helped now, I suppose...
Aloud she agreed, "Alright. To the inn it is, then. Besides I've still got a little time before anyone decides to check on me... I just hope they actually take the time to read my note..."

OCC: Wow that just shows you what happens when you change your character name. IC: Tijia yawned and said,"I can imagine I'm not the only one that's had a long day so let's get to it if we're going to go to this inn. Where did you say it was Amarth?" She yawned as Helio took off again and roosted somewhere. And gestured aimlessly up the street.

OOC-Hmm... didn't word that right, did I Aranel? I left out me saying that her words were formal because her Common isn't that good... sorry lol. But it still makes sense.
IC- "I can lead the way to the inn. I am rather tired, but I will stay awake for anything else," Amarth replied, beginning to walk down the dark street. As she walked, her thoughts strayed to earlier...
That man earlier... he laughed when he saw I had wings... and that woman stared as if I were a demon... She relived all the worst moments of the day on accident; when she was tired, Amarth went back to her seven danceless years and remembered how withdrawn she was. She wasn't doing it on purpose, but she was reliving all the things that hurt her that day.
The others may not see that I'm weak, but when people hate me and my art, I don't know what to do, Amarth sighed and turned another corner. They were almost there.

OOC- Meh, no big. Besides, there is a good chance that Aranel would have considered them to have been formal for the very reason I had assumed it... Lol.
IC- Aranel followed Amarth along the path to the inn. As she walked in the silence, all of the doubts she had had since she took over control of the Varden came back to her. It was not just this night, lately it seemed to be every night. Aranel knew that eventually it would again be daylight and she could put on her mask and pretend that everything was alright. As she looked up momentarily, Aranel saw the inn a short distance away.

The others seemed to be in reflective reveries as the walked down the street. Tijia reflected on business in Aberon and thought on how Hershima might be doing. She hoped all her faithful workers had stayed with him. She really hoped he was doing okay with all her special customers. She snapped out of her own reverie when she spotted the inn.
