She has also made hundreds of friends living outside the city of Nadindel, elves, animals, and mortals alike since losing her memory. She has a special bond with the creature that probably saved her life. She was living through just another normal day when a messenger arrived, he said,"Ari you are being called into town for a city council meeting, they wish to discuss you!" The boy, out of breath, almost collapsed on her front step. She picked him up and started running with an abnormal strength into town. When she arrived at the meeting place she set down the boy and presented herself to the city council. The speaker for the council addressed her,"Ari we have just been informed that we are to send our best warriors to Surda. We have already sent one and others may follow but the councils first choice was unanimous, you. We wish you to embark on a dangerous journey to Surda. Once you arrive we believe it is undeniable that once you arrive you will have to yet again demonstrate much courage in facing the unknown. Do you accept?" The council held its breath while Ari's brow furrowed. She seemed to be in deep thought, exploring the dangers and the possibilities. Then after a length of time she began to say, very slowly at first but getting stronger,"I understand the dangers and I am very honored even proud to be selected to travel to Surda and represent Nadindel. I accept your proposal speaker." (see Introduction for rest)
Introduction: (beginning at end of Past) The council, all smiling, took a sigh of relief, she had accepted. They sent a messenger to escort her to a dwelling so she could stay the night in the city. She spent the rest of the evening packing provisions and saying good bye to her dearest friends. Late that night she returned to find a cue of assorted animals at her door step. Smiling she told them that she would be alright and good bye. She entered her dwelling and fell asleep preparing for her new adventure in the morning.
Ari awoke to the singing of birds the next morning. She leaped out of bed, slung her provisions and bed roll onto her back and was walking out of the city within the hour. She took the trails south toward Sithrim. It was an uneventful day of travel, around dusk she drank from a stream and picked berries for dinner. She traveled late into the night and finally reached the edges of Silthrim. She slept on a bed roll in a glade that night listening to the sounds of the night. The next morning she began traveling immediately heading south toward the edge of the Hadarac Desert. It took her four days to reach the fringes of Du Weldenvarden and the edge of the Hadarac Desert now she just had to get around it.
The day she reached the edge of the desert she joined a group of traders heading south toward Surda. She traveled with them around the fringe of the desert for nearly two weeks making many friends. One night when she decided that they were close enough to the boarder to abandon she took her new horse Cloud, and road off with four days worth of provisions. After two days of riding Ari settled down to have lunch. All of a sudden an Urgal came charging out of the underbrush Ari leaped to her feet loaded her bow and fired an arrow straight through its forehead. She then leaped onto Cloud and rode nonstop for two days to Surda's capital Aberon.
When she arrived she found a nice looking tavern paid for a stable and hurried to the capital building. The guards let her through to two men who aggressively searched her mind. Then she proceeded to a heavily guarded shadowy room. She was directed to a cushioned table on which a large green stone lay. A guard tells her to touch it. Ari thinks to her self,"Is this the big task I'm supposed to perform? Touch a stone?" She brushes her fingers by the stones surface. She felt a large jolt of pain and the guard caught her as she stumbled backward. She was then escorted to a room in the castle with the rock. Eventually someone came to her room to tell her that her horse had been taken to the castle stables because the hostess of the castle requested she stay the night. Ari decided she would because otherwise she would have to pay to stay somewhere. She was also a little confused why the guard had brought the rock to her room with her. She decided that this question probably wouldn't be answered till the morning if at all. So with that she drifted off to sleep.
About a week and a half later Ari was still staying in the castle, when she heard a knock at her door. She answered the door and there stood a women a women she happened to no to be the head of the Varden. Ari stood dumbstruck staring at this smiling figure. After a moment Ari let her visitor in. She sat on her bed as Nasuada stood before her. Nasuada looked as though she were about to explain herself when they both heard a large crack. They both looked around to see a large lizard crawl out of the hollow shell of what before now Ari had perceived to be a rock. By instinct of living around animals all her life Ari stuck out her hand. Instead of sniffing her hand the dragon stuck its nose into it. That sent a shock of power through Ari's body. Startled she drew away. That is when she noticed the silvery gedwey ignasia on he palm the sign she knew of the famed Dragon Riders....
