Maitarq is a master of illusion and being sneaky. Some things you may find that he does be unbelievable, but believe it. 'How can no one see him? That’s impossible!' Untold years of being a werecat have given Maitarq the swiftness and inconspicuousness that even the best of thieves don't have and envy.
Description: Maitarq has brown fur with light blue eyes. He is very sneaky when he is in cat and human form. He only speaks in riddles when he is giving advice or help. He considers himself ownerless, because he goes wherever he wants to. He does tend to follow and talk to multiple people more then others. He has long fur, and when he is in human form he has long brown hair that comes down to his eyes and half way down his ears. He appears about 22 years old when he is human form. He has white teeth, and is very muscular, his arms bulging with muscle. He has powder blue eyes, like in cat form. His nose is medium sized, and his lips are medium too. He has tanned skin, and a chisled chin. He alsways wears sleeves shirts to show off his muscles, and wears shorts unless its cold, when he wears pants. He is very handsome by human standards. He is good with the sword, he can hold his own, but very good with magic. His age is unknown to all but him, and he plans on telling no one. If you ask him how old he is he will simply tell you 'Very old.'
Reason of Character?: He goes wherever the action is in Alagaesia, and it just so happens that he is at Aberon with the newly found dragon eggs. He was at Farthen Dur, and at the burning plains. He gives advice to those in need, or who will be in need.
Past: He grew up in Bullridge. When Maitarq was mature enough, Maitarq left Bullridge and headed north. He planned on going to Gil’ead. That he did, living off of scraps and sleeping in alleys or in houses with open windows. When he was older, he decided to leave. He went south to Uru'baen, making sure to stay in the shadows and not be seen by anyone who would possibly kill him or take him to Galbatorix. He stayed with one person for a while, but then he wanted to go and explore the rest of Alageasia. From then on out, he just explored and roamed, going where something was happening.
Introduction: Maitarq walked through the hot Hadarac desert, feeling parched. He was almost out to the sweltering hot, and he was glad for it. Never again will he go through the desert. He wandered aimlessly just fantasizing about water and food. He finally saw a tree, and started to run. He was in cat form, so someone couldn’t see a random person coming out of the desert. When he got to the tree, he stopped for a moment.
‘Lets see. I’m around Furnost, so I should go…’ This was the difficult part of being a nomad. You had to go places, and deciding where to go wasn’t always easy. He usually stayed in one place for a couple months, less if he didn’t like it, more if he did. ‘I guess I will go back to Dras-Leona.’ Maitarq decided. He went north-west, heading for the big city. He had been to most of the cities and places in Alagaesia. He hadn’t been to any of the cities off the mainland, which he hoped to do soon. He also hadn’t been to many of the dwarves cities, but had been to some. He walked on and on, but this time in human form. He was to big of a cat to be normal. His human form looked normal. He had brown hair that came down over his eyes and ears, and was long in the back, but not down past the bottom of his neck. He wore a sleeveless white shirt with brown shorts, and wore white shoes.
Maitarq walked on, getting bored. He could only get a horse when he knew he was going to be staying in human form, which he sometimes traveled in human form just so he could have a horse. He finally got there after a couple of days, and turned back into a cat. He prowled the run down, poverty stricken streets just taking in the sights of the limbless homeless people, the beggars, the people who owned the run down houses. He walked up to the nicer part of the city. One thing was still common, the limbless people. Not everyone was missing a hand, foot, arm, or leg, just some.
‘What a stupid religion.’ Maitarq thought to himself. He hated Dras-Leona, and he didn’t know why he came here. He started to leave. He hated this city, full of poor humans or limbless wealthy humans. He changed to human form, and stole a horse. He left, heading south to Surda. He was tired of the empire, and hadn’t been to Surda in a couple of years. He was good at stealing, in both forms. He rode south until he finally got to Surda after a week or so. He rode through Surda at the fastest his horse could go. When he came to Lithgow, he wasn’t pleased. He needed a big city so he could steal what he wanted to and be able to hide. He decided to ride south down to the capital, Aberon.
When he got there after a days ride at a very fast run on his horse. He got off and tied up the horse. ’[i Either someone will steal him, I’ll leave him there, or I will take him with me the next place I go.[/i’ Maitarq thought to himself. He sneaked around the city in cat form, looking for food or water. When he found some, he ate and drank, then continued to walk around. He was looking up at the sky when he saw a dragon fly by. ‘A dragon?!’ Though Maitarq, very excited. He tried to follow it, but even with his speed and swiftness, he just couldn’t catch it. He went in Lady Nasuada’s palace and saw 4 people, one of them an elf. He decided to follow them.
